"The most important thing a pastor does is stand in a pulpit every Sunday and say, "Let us worship God. If that ceases to be the primary thing I do in terms of my energy, my imagination, and the way I structure my life, then I no longer function as a pastor." Eugene Peterson
We all worship. We worship at concerts, at stadiums, in front of the television or computer, and look for things or people to adore. We all long to worship. We were created to worship. We are always looking for the next object of our affection. The question is, does your object of worship bring you peace?
At River's Edge we worship together each Sunday morning because we have met the God of peace. We gather together in the power of the Spirit, the love of the Father, and with the hope we have in Jesus.
Join us in worship or come and see what it's like when the people of God gather together. Whether you've been worshiping Jesus for your whole life or interested in learning more, you are welcome here at River's Edge Bible Church.
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
Preaching at River's Edge is always from the Bible. We believe that God's word is a primary means of his Grace and relevant to our lives today. The regular preaching of God's word and the administration of the sacraments (Baptism and The Lord's Supper) is the heart of historical Christianity.
